MEDINA, OHIO April 2022 – Laura Van Metre has recently accepted the position of Project Coordinator for the Multi-Family division at Pride One Construction.

In her new role, Laura will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the processes that drive the division from both a development and accounting standpoint.  Project cost reporting, scheduling, set-up and closeout within the accounting system, and field progress tracking are extremely critical facets to ensuring these projects are on time and on budget!

Van Metre brings 10 years of project management and coordination, with the last 7 years working in the residential construction industry.  Her unique skill set and great attitude make her a great asset to the company and we’re excited to have her on our team.

Laura “shares her heart” with her husband Ryan and their two young boys Maximus and Luca.  When not working she loves spending time with her boys in the outdoors, cooking, and rooting for her favorite Cleveland sports teams.

MEDINA, OHIO April 2022 – Tim Smith has recently joined our Multi-family division with a focus on purchasing and supplier relations at Pride One Construction.

“My main goal is to strengthen existing relationships with suppliers and vendors while building new ones”, said Smith.   “Having an extensive vendor/supply base gives us a strong position as our growth continues.”

Mr. Smith has been in the construction / multi-family space for over ten years running multiple projects.  He has a talent for negotiating lower material/labor costs while maintaining quality vendors. Additionally, he is a servant leader who is eager to take on and learn from new experiences.

Tim is married to his wife Kate. They have a 7-year-old boy named, Colin who plays the keyboard in a Rock Band!  When not working, Tim enjoys music and is an avid reader.  One of his goals for 2022 is to run a 10K!

MEDINA, OHIO March 2022 – Zach Beadnell has recently been hired as an Assistant Land Development Manager at Pride One Construction.  

Zach plays a critical role in creating engineer conceptual plans and preliminary budgets.  He also works with the accounting/finance team to ensure the accuracy of the final budgets, coordinates with sub-contractors, and oversees site construction during most of the site work phases.

He is a 2017 graduate of The University of Akron with a degree in construction engineering.  Upon graduation, he worked for a small excavation company for 6 years starting as a laborer and working his way to foreman and safety coordinator.  He maintains an OSHA 30/ trench safety and competent person certification along with a fire main license and CDL.

Zach married his high school sweetheart, Alex.  When not working, he enjoys time with his wife renovating their home, hunting, fishing, and boating.

MEDINA, OHIO February 2022 – Joe Arena has been hired as a new project manager for our Addis View apartments project in Downtown, Cleveland.

Joe started as a truck driver for a carpentry shop.  Recognizing his talents, he was quickly promoted to an estimator and eventually project manager.

When you meet this young professional, you will quickly get a feel for how passionate and dedicated he is to his craft.  He has a unique ability to absorb knowledge and apply it very quickly and has already made a huge impression in his short time here.

Joe enjoys time hiking and camping with his wife of 5 years and his young son.

MEDINA, OHIO February 2022 – Alan Longstreth is the newest member of our Residential Multi-family Purchasing Team at Pride One Construction.

Mr. Longstreth is a 27-year veteran in the construction industry.  He started as a roofing laborer in the mid-90’s and worked his way up to hold various leadership roles with some of the largest single-family builders in the United States.

Alans advanced knowledge and experience in the single-family housing space make him a huge asset to the Residential Multi-Family division and will be an integral contributor to our upcoming projects in North Carolina.

Alan and his wife Tonya will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this year!  They have 2 daughters, Abigail and Grace.  Abigail is a sophomore at THE Ohio State University and Grace is a Junior at Bio-Med Medical Academy.   Away from work Alan and his family love spending time outdoors, participating in their local 4H, and of course, cheering on those OSU Buckeyes! (O.H!)

MEDINA, OHIO February 2022 – Daniel Gess has been named VP Multi-Family Construction at Pride One Construction.

Dan brings over 20 years of commercial construction experience.  He has managed projects all over Northeast Ohio including non-profits, institutional, higher education, commercial interior renovations, and senior living/apartments.

Mr. Gess lives in Bay Village, Ohio with his wife of 19 years, Devon, and their two children, Caden and Lillian.  In his off-time, he enjoys golf, travel, and watching college football.

Dan is a natural fit for the Pride One culture.  He exemplifies our core values and will undoubtedly push the Multi-Family Construction Division to unprecedented levels of success.
